" Long walk to the nearest town but got fuel and managed another flight. Spending the night in Darro, Granada. Surreal evening in the village bar, where everybody shouts for no apparent reason."

DAY 5 - A well earned drink and shelter from the storms

DAY 4 - Flying with eagles

"One of the biggest problems I'm facing is the difference in temperature on the ground and in the air. I get all togged up in flying suit, gloves, scarf, etc, then I have to run with 40 kg on my back. Bearable if I get airborne first go. Horrendous sweaty mess if I don't!"

DAY 3 - A troubling third day!

David has texted me - currently no Wi-Fi signal

"Not a good day. Spent all morning sweating in my flying suit unable to get airborne due to small filed and variable wind direction. Walked miles. Finally found a better field and took off. Bounced around like a bucking bronco in mid afternoon thermals. Head wind had me down to 15 mph. Legs painful from walking and too many failed launches with 40kg on my back. No Wi-Fi where I've landed and so far no where to stay"
